Worship Bands
Since our founding in 1854, Central Methodist has been known for music. Yet a relatively new and exciting addition to the CMU music scene is our Worship Bands. You don’t need to be a music major (though you certainly can), and your faith affiliation doesn’t matter; here is your chance to make a joyful noise in performances both on- and off-campus.
CMU Worship Bands don’t follow a particular model or formula; they are comprised of ensembles of various instrumentation, experience levels, and sizes. If you’re interested but not particularly musically inclined, opportunities exist for tech support, audio/visual, and more. CMU Worship Bands perform at weekly chapel services on campus, and have entertained off-campus crowds as large as 3,000.
A limited number of scholarships are available to many who choose to be a part of Worship Bands.
